The key is to support the entire size of the cattle, while also making it possible for them to easily step onto the scale without having to lift their 1,000 pound frames onto the platform. The lower the profile of the platform itself, the easier this will be for those in the agricultural and veterinary fields. Electronic cattle scales should all come with an LED or LCD display when reading out the weight of an animal placed onto the platform. Anything else is really unacceptable in the 21st century, as these displays are largely considered standard in the industry by now.
